"Teachers in the Houston area are shouldering a significant financial burden as they prepare to stock their classrooms for the upcoming school year. According to a recent survey, out-of-pocket costs for teachers are nearing a staggering $1,000 per educator, leaving many struggling to make ends meet. In an effort to support these dedicated educators, ABC13's Loves Teachers School Supply Drive is launching a campaign to collect essential supplies and donations to help bridge the gap. As the cost of living continues to rise, the drive aims to provide a much-needed boost to local teachers, ensuring they can focus on what matters most: educating and inspiring their students."
