As a fairly young coach (31F) I thrive on trying to influence my athletes to become young adults that are respectful and becoming good human being. That being said, I coach High school track and my athletes like to play music through a speaker. I usually don’t mind some of the music they play, but when they play extremely vulgar music that every other word is a curse word or mentions woman in derogatory/sexual ways I feel as though that’s not ok. Am I overreacting in their music choice, should I just let them listen to whatever they want and ignore it?
