They all teach non-Honors freshmen. I don't teach freshmen any more, but when I did, I too got shit for my classroom management, to the point that I had to appeal my evaluation scores. (I was successful.) Now that I only teach Honors and gen ed upperclassmen, I don't hear a peep about my management. It's almost like admin don't understand what teaching is like and think that behavior referrals = bad classroom management. No, you're just blaming teachers for the difficult rosters you gave them. Those teachers then alchemize their chaotic little terrors into real live humans who can sit in chairs and learn content in 50-minute increments, for which you praise...teachers like me, who really don't deserve it.
