Clarifying: he is my stepson, but he’s legally been with us full time since he was 9. I’ve heard that teachers are no longer able to fail students and that grading is pretty lenient post-COVID. Is this true?
Clarifying: he is my stepson, but he’s legally been with us full time since he was 9. I’ve heard that teachers are no longer able to fail students and that grading is pretty lenient post-COVID. Is this true? I cannot convince my husband to understand why our son (A SENIOR!) coasting through school is a bad thing. He has missing assignments every single week. Grades just posted to one class on PowerSchool and while there’s only 3 projects/assignments all semester for this class, he has turned in NOTHING. I am beyond disappointed, and frustrated for the teachers that there’s really no consequences for students who choose to barely participate. Am I out of touch or is my husband? submitted by /u/YourFriendInSpokane [link] [comments]
