My husband is a special-education K-5 certified teacher. He was just informed that due to budget cuts, he (and a few others of the special education team) are being moved. They're transferring him to a middle school next school year. (I don't know if this matters, but he'd be receiving his tenure in March 2027.) My husband is distraught - he loves his school and he's worked so incredibly hard there. He just finished his last observation with high scores. We live in New Jersey. Is this legal? How do we look into this? Please forgive me if my post and questions are silly, I'm just not well-informed on this matter and I'm trying to see if there's anything we can do to maybe keep him where he is. submitted by /u/Sm0lBean000 [link] [comments]
