California State University, Long Beach is at the forefront of addressing a critical shortage of school psychologists in the state's K-12 education system. As students face increasingly complex mental health challenges, the university is training a new wave of mental health professionals to support them. The CSULB program is designed to equip students with the skills and expertise needed to provide critical services, from early intervention to crisis management. With the number of students struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma on the rise, the timely arrival of these trained professionals could not come at a more crucial moment, as they work to create safe and supportive learning environments for all students.
