"Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs have long been touted as a way to prepare students for in-demand jobs and boost local economies. However, a new study suggests that the significant earnings increases associated with CTE programs may not be sustainable in the long term. Researchers found that while CTE students initially see a substantial bump in earnings compared to their non-CTE peers, this advantage may fade over time as the labor market adjusts to the influx of skilled workers. The findings raise questions about the effectiveness of CTE programs in providing a lasting economic benefit to students and communities."
