I took my Biology PRAXIS test yesterday and scored 142 — 12 points short of the passing score of 154. I really hoped to pass and was looking forward to enjoy my spring break… but guess not. I’ve been studying since December. I used Study.com and ETS practice tests. I took tons of quizzes, watched tons of videos, and done tons of reviews. I tried literally everything. Passing this test was supposed to be my checkpoint—to rest, breathe, and say, “Maybe this career is for me, maybe all the hell I went through was worth it.” Now I’m just… stuck. It’s spring break so what should I do? Rest? Cry? Or figure out what to study again? Official scores are apparently not out until May 8th. What???? On top of that, I’m in a teaching residency program and I have to start applying to teaching positions in April. How do I juggle interviews, teaching, planning, managing students, and prep for a possible PRAXIS retake? I’m doubting everything at this point — my abilities, my knowledge in biology, even this career. Just needed to get this out somewhere… submitted by /u/maiidayss [link] [comments]
