long story short one of my teachers from late middle school I was determined to reach out to him. may not has seem so in the past but he was one of the few male role models in my life and gave the energy that he cared about my well being and education. I was not the best student behaviorly but academically I was pretty darn good. I initially started looking for him in 21 but the dude is just not online, so I found a work email (which may have been an old one), wrote a heart felt message, never responded. So now in 26 I saw he never messaged but saw he was quoted in a news article recently and at a different school from before. I messaged him basically the same message and he responded. he responded short and like with no heart, copy and paste type stuff. so to the title of this post, do teachers even want to be reached out to by past students? was it just that much of a nuisance to him in the past? did I over step?
