Federal authorities are taking a bold step to address the growing concern of sexual misconduct in schools across the United States. The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) has unveiled a nationwide initiative aimed at preventing and responding to incidents of sexual misconduct in K-12 educational settings. Dubbed a "national effort," the initiative will provide resources and support to schools to help them identify and address potential issues before they escalate. As part of this initiative, the DOE is set to review the policies and procedures of school districts across the country, including Springfield Public Schools in Missouri, which has been under scrutiny for its handling of similar incidents.
