Watching older movies or more recent ones depicting times gone by, I see teachers addressing students as Mr or Ms Last Name. Much like school uniforms, this has largely gone away. For teachers who still do this, or for those who had it as students, what was your experience? Do you think it contributed to an atmosphere of professionalism, or was it an unwelcome relic of the past? I would be especially interested to hear about places in which it was not school policy, where some classes were addressed with first names and some not. submitted by /u/GrimaceVolcano743 [link] [comments]
