A new initiative aims to equip educators with the skills to teach the next generation about healthy eating and sustainable food systems. FoodCorps and Teachers College at Columbia University have partnered to launch a food education microcredential, designed to provide teachers with specialized training in food education. This innovative program will enable educators to create engaging and effective lessons that promote food literacy, nutrition, and environmental awareness among students. By empowering teachers with the knowledge and tools to integrate food education into their curricula, the microcredential hopes to foster a new generation of food-conscious leaders and citizens.
