I started teaching freshmen in high school this semester, and I've noticed my students' basic writing composition skills are in poor shape. I'm wondering if there are any resources or strategies that review very basic competencies (full sentences, puncutation, capitalization, passive/active voice, third-person writing) without being condescending to the students?
