My 6th grade students like to make profile pictures for me to use on my school account because they love seeing them in Google Classroom. Examples include: A raccoon wearing a tiara holding a book and cute girly pencil with sparkles, a bearded dragon sticking its tongue out with hearts drawn around it, and an opossum wearing a pink crown and pink ballgown dress holding a wand with QUEEN written above it. They’re all innocent and hilarious, and they make me smile, because it shows that the kids take interest in me and know what I love. It’s something harmless and fun that helps me build relations with them. I just shudder and die a little inside when I have to email parents or admin because I forget that everyone else can see it as well.
