A HUGE thank you to everyone who has commented advice or their stories and words of support. I was naive to think that if I did my best, I’d be fine. I went through my emails and Google Drive and saved everything. I saved all of my data, my evaluations, walk throughs, etc. I’m putting together everything I have that I can use to prove that I was a great teacher who did nothing but dedicate all of my time to my students. Yesterday, I told a few of my students who I got close to that I was leaving. One of those students was a major behavioral kid who I built a bond with. When I told him, I saw the tears well up in his eyes and he gave me the tightest hug I’ve ever gotten. That’s what I will miss the most. If my students had a say, I would still be there.
