I have been in the same district for 6 years (same school for 5 years) and I just need a fresh start somewhere new. I currently have a weird relationship with my building admin - she is supportive but also not? I feel like I’ve been under more scrutiny than other teachers in my building and it’s all “to support” my classroom and there’s a lot miscommunication/lack of communication. I really love teaching and working with my students and colleagues, but I can’t keep working under this admin. I’ve been regularly checking other school districts for openings. It would be nice to work closer to my house too. Districts are starting to post positions and I don’t know when or how to communicate that I’m not returning. Do I email HR? Do I email my admin? I’ve never worked for another district and I don’t know what to do. submitted by /u/grahamemm [link] [comments]
