Anonymous SF tech worker gives $1.6 million to SF school district educators to split among them, no strings attached to show appreciation. It pencils out to $250 each (after expenses for digital gift cards etc). Is it worth it?
Anonymous SF tech worker gives $1.6 million to SF school district educators to split among them, no strings attached to show appreciation. It pencils out to $250 each (after expenses for digital gift cards etc). Is it worth it? Would the money be better spent on something else in the public schools? It's a lot of money for one person, not so much for each of the 6,000 educators, but it's arguably charming, quirky and meaningful.
