Anyone else using this curriculum? I am a 5th grade teacher and my district adopted Mystery Science this year. I’m finding it very shallow. While the videos are engaging for students, I feel like there isn’t much meat to the content. Our old science curriculum definitely had its flaws, but we had tweaked it over the course of many years to turn it into a program where it felt like teaching lessons I could be proud of at the end of the day. It’s the first year, with MS so we are trying to teach it as intended. It just feels like style waaaaay over substance. And don’t get me started on the “supply kits” the district paid for, which amount to bags full of paper plates, cups, and ONE STICK OF CHALK. submitted by /u/8bitavocado [link] [comments]
