NC Supreme Court overturns Leandro ruling in a huge loss for NC public education

We just lost a 30-year battle to properly fund education in our state. The ultimate loss will be to our students, our families, our communities, and to our infrastructure as people seek employment in other states with better funded education systems. NC children have a right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education as per the NC Constitution, and the NCGA has denied them that for 3 decades, and now our Supreme Court has driven the last stake into our slowly dying education system. We are angry. We are betrayed. We are grieving. And we are bracing ourselves for further devastating cuts to an already dessimated education budget.
