IBM’s latest research shows that schools are falling behind in preparing for AI, even as the technology spreads rapidly across businesses and other sectors. The study, released through IBM Newsroom, surveyed K‑12 institutions and found that while many schools are experimenting with AI tools, their infrastructure, teacher training, and curriculum integration lag far behind corporate adoption rates. The report highlights gaps in digital literacy, data governance, and equitable access, warning that without targeted investment, students risk missing out on the benefits and safeguards that AI can offer. The findings call for urgent collaboration between educators, policymakers, and tech firms to bridge the readiness divide.
