Vietnam's Education Ministry has recently unveiled a revised salary scale for primary school teachers, with the highest-paid positions reaching nearly 16 million VND (approximately $680 USD) per month. The new pay structure aims to address the long-standing issue of teacher shortages and low morale in the country's education sector. As a result, experienced teachers with advanced qualifications can now expect significant salary increases, potentially boosting their earnings by up to 50%. However, critics argue that the revised scale may not be enough to attract top talent to the profession, particularly in rural areas where teaching conditions are often challenging.
