"Black History Month is just around the corner, but a growing concern is emerging in the education sector: teachers are being denied opportunities to deepen their knowledge of Black history and culture. Despite the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives into the classroom, many educators are facing barriers that prevent them from accessing training and resources to learn more about the rich and complex history of African Americans. As a result, students may be missing out on the chance to engage with nuanced and accurate lessons about the Black experience.
