So I have a student who misses frequently. Often enough that I have stopped trying to keep her caught up on missed work so I send it home for the family to work on with her. Some of it comes back, most does not.

Some of it comes back, most does not. I expected that honestly. The message I did not expect is the one I just got rudely telling me to send another copy of ALL of the work that was never completed and returned so they can catch up because they now realize she’s behind. Like ma’am… no. I do not have a clue as to what work was not completed to go make another copy for you guys to practice at home. If you can’t keep up with your ONE kids work, how do you expect me to know?! If it was something I took a grade on I know that’s missing but the practice sheets we do in class, I have no idea what’s missing specifically. I’ll send something home but it won’t be what she’s wanting exactly.
