Okay let me start with thanks for anyone who feels like reading because this is purely a rant. I was on medical leave for the last two weeks. During this time a retired teacher stepped in to teach my class (grade 4).
Okay let me start with thanks for anyone who feels like reading because this is purely a rant. I was on medical leave for the last two weeks. During this time a retired teacher stepped in to teach my class (grade 4). I got back today, and they all hated her and made that known but I took that with a grain of salt since supply teachers have to be more strict and kids generally don’t like strict even though it’s not necessarily a bad thing. My issue is while I was gone she REARRANGED MY WHOLE ROOM. She moved all my tables, redid their desk arrangements, put my desk in a really tight corner, and the worst part…. She took away their reading corner! I had a lovely reading corner with a carpet, beanbags, pillows and a bookshelf that I got them for Christmas. She took it all away and shoved it in a cabinet and told them “you’re in grade 4, you don’t need this” HUH??? It’s a comfy corner to read in, it’s great for literally any age. On top of all this, I had brought in a spinny office chair from home for one of the tables and it’s gone. The kids told me she gave it to another class (I don’t know if this is true since not everything they say is factual). Like what???? How do you just redo my entire room and give away my own personal stuff? If you really need something different whatever, but like…. At least put it back for me since obviously that’s the way I like it? Again, she was here for TWO weeks. What is wrong with people 😭 submitted by /u/abrownfox1 [link] [comments]
