I don't know what this person expected. They are a retired teacher who taught at my school, have taken long term sub jobs in the past two years, and agreed to LT for a teacher who went out on FMLA for the remainder of the year. The LT sub was asked to cover this job six months ago. It is for HS in the content area the LT sub holds a teaching license in. There were no surprises. The content has a very strong PLC who collaboratively plans and the other members are creating and posting content in the LMS. The teacher created a full sub binder with day by day lessons until the end of the year. But LT sub is now angry because they "didn't know [they'd] actually have to teach or grade. This isn't what [they] thought [they'd] agreed to." Despite being paid the LT rate... They expected to legit just sit in the room while the kids work independently and have someone else grade all the work!!!! In. A. State. Tested. Content. Area. Come on last day of school. Hurry please. submitted by /u/ant0519 [link] [comments]
