Hi everyone, I am a teacher in a toddler classroom, and work completely by myself. I’ve brought this up multiple times at my center, but nothing has changed, and I feel like I have no support or check-ins for basic needs like using the restroom. This has caused real health problems for me this year. I even got a UTI because I couldn’t go when needed. I am wondering: Do other teachers who are alone in a classroom have ways to take bathroom breaks safely? Is this something you deal with regularly? How do you make it work without putting kids at risk or getting in trouble? I really want to hear how others handle this because it feels like no one ever talks about it, and it’s a serious issue for health and safety. Any advice or shared experiences would mean a lot. submitted by /u/Impressive-Field1719 [link] [comments]
