I have to laugh or smile, because if I don’t, I’ll scream. Got an email yesterday. A parent reached out to one of my co-teachers about a lunch incident that the child never told me about. Parent was upset (rightfully so) that no one contacted her. I’m upset because I can’t really deal or solve recess or lunch problems due to me being on my lunch break and also, the lack of supervision. Deans never tell us anything that happens and parents yell at us. They conduct “investigations” and never tell us what the outcome is and I’m left in the dark. I get that I’m the first point of contact, but I’m over the lack of communication and miscommunication. I’m just over it because I have no idea how to even make contact or respond to the parent when the child never said anything to me and I know nothing about this. submitted by /u/spac3ie [link] [comments]
