This is my 3rd year as a special education teacher. The job is hard, I got assaulted every single day my first year, and had a massive panic attack after one of the assaults and would start crying any time that student came near me for weeks. Before school started last school year, I started having heart problems when I got the return to work email. I was in and out of the ER 3 times to make sure it wasn't a heart attack. I was put on a 30 day heart monitor and had a cardiac stress test done to find nothing wrong. This school year I dropped down to pre-k so I wouldn't get beat up as much, I had my first workers comp claim this school year after getting punched in the face, given two black eyes and had severe headaches for a week. We were on vacation last week and I took this Monday-Thursday off as extra because I was stressed, and returned today. Right now, I'm sitting in the ER after being transported from my school because I had a massive panic attack when my class started this afternoon. I'm done.
